SMART MOM, an obstetrical trainer focused on the two primary challenges in OB deliveries, Postpartum Hemorrhage (PPH) and Shoulder Dystocia, also exhibits a wide range of other birthing irregularities. Extensive Fetal Heart Rate (FHR) programming ensures a broad exposure to variations in wave forms to test your practitioners’ knowledge and team leadership skills in handling patient treatment modalities.
The handheld iPad®* unit controls the birthing position and rotation of the fetus, descent speed, vaginal bleeding, amniotic fluid, meconium, and the mother’s physiological condition in an easy-to-use application. Scenarios are included with the packages and an available library of scenarios makes physiologic changes to treatments simple and quick.
Features for the assessment of typical patient status include 10 continuously active pulse points, pupil response and size, blood pressure, heart and lung sounds, spontaneous respirations, and 5-lead monitoring capabilities with defibrillation and pacing.
